NEW PATIENT PORTAL UPDATES

Coastal Kids is in the process of switching electronic health record systems. This will create changes that temporarily affect patients, particularly in accessing and using the Patient Portal. Please read below for a list of important dates and changes. Thank you, as always, for your patience and understanding!

Tuesday, March 18

The following offices will be CLOSED for half-day training. Phones will still be monitored the way they normally are when offices are closed/after hours.

Thursday, March 20

On March 20, 2025, we will begin the process of updating our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and scheduling systems to enhance our ability to care for your child.

As our team learns and adjusts to the new, enhanced EHR system, some parts of your experience with us may take a bit more time than usual. We’ll do our best to keep any delays to a minimum.

Important Information

Appointment Time

Our staff will need additional time with you at your next appointment to verify and update your child’s patient information. Please allow additional time for these updates. It’s important to take this step to protect your child’s privacy and safety. Please remember to bring your driver’s license and insurance card with you to your child’s next visit.

Appointment Slots

As we transition to the new EHR, we will have fewer available appointment slots for several weeks, so holding off on any non-urgent appointments until later in the month will help us keep urgent slots available for families who need them.

Text Alerts

Before your next appointment, you will receive text messages asking you to register, upload insurance cards and complete forms. The text will say “Welcome to Pediatric Associates: but the link included will be specific to Coastal Kids.

Sick Visits

If your child is sick and needs an appointment right away, on-demand telemedicine visits are available by calling our office to schedule.

How Do I Locate My Practice?

To locate your practice, enter the Coastal Kids practice code: GGJECD

After you search the code, the practice that pops up will say “Pediatric Associates Family of Companies”. This will lead to your Coastal Kids location, we promise! Just click “Show Locations” and select your practice.

What part of my child’s medical records can I see and print at home?2025-03-04T16:46:55+00:00

You can access information on Diagnostic Tests, Immunizations, Prescriptions, Documents, and Upcoming Appointments for both well and sick visits. We’ll continue to add more access and interactive features as they become available.

There might be some features (for example, vaccine records) that are only available on the desktop version of Healow and not the app.

We share information with our patients that we feel can help them and keep them informed. Every practice is different, and we try to provide patients with key information regarding their health. For a complete list of features, ask our staff!

You can enjoy quick, easy access to important parts of your children’s medical records. You can see, print, and download this information at your convenience, without having to call the office. You can keep track of important dates, milestones, prescriptions, immunizations, and lab results, from anywhere you have internet access.

No, account creation and registration are free! Once you’re registered, you can access your children’s medical records as often as you like for free.
