Dr. Nimisha Amin is a full-time lead physician at Southwest Pediatrics, board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.

Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Bakersfield from age one, she completed her education at the University of California, Irvine, followed by residency and fellowship at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA.

Since 2011, Dr. Amin has provided comprehensive care at Southwest Pediatrics. She prioritizes compassionate, honest, and up-to-date medical care, emphasizing listening to patients and parents to offer practical advice.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Amin enjoys running, reading, indulging in desserts, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.
