Katie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a diverse background in nursing. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton, graduating Cum Laude, and went on to complete her Master’s degree at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Katie has a wide range of experience, from pediatric intensive care and child/adolescent psychiatry to her more recent work as a nurse practitioner in urgent care and home health.

Katie lives with her husband and three young children. She understands the chaos of balancing busy school and sports schedules while chasing a toddler around, which makes her appreciate the importance of a supportive healthcare team when challenges arise. Katie’s passion for children extends beyond her professional career; it’s a driving force in her personal life as well. She has led children’s camps and medical mission trips in Eastern Europe, Central America, and Africa. Additionally, Katie serves weekly in her church’s children’s ministry. Her love for connecting with kids comes naturally—she sees herself as a kid at heart, always ready to laugh and play.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys outdoor activities and adventurous pursuits. A former competitive triathlete, she has completed multiple marathons and Ironman triathlons. These days, she’s found a new passion for pickleball and has quickly become just as competitive.
