Dr. Kristina Nylander, M.D. FAAP
Dr. Kristina Nylander, M.D. FAAP, is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Nylander grew up locally in Laguna Hills and has been in private pediatric practice in South Orange County since 2004. She graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
After moving to Portland, Oregon and working in medical research, she attended Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine. Dr. Nylander then returned to Southern California for her residency in pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where upon completion, she was the recipient of the Pediatric Primary Care Award and the Golden Apple Teaching Award. In addition, she is a UCLA-certified lactation educator.
Dr. Nylander joined Coastal Kids in 2017. As a pediatrician, Dr. Nylander most enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. Nylander lives with her husband and two daughters in Laguna Niguel and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.

Dr. Nylander is amazing!! She is so nice and informative and sweet! By far an all around amazing experience. This is our first baby so we had so many first-time parent questions and she was so nice and answered all of our concerns and went over everything we possibly needed to know! Also when I was a little concerned when my baby turned bright red at home (after office hours), I called the after hours number and they connected me to an on-call doctor in less than maybe 2 minutes! Great office, and great staff! Friendly and extremely helpful!! Thanks for everything Dr. Nylander!!
Absolutely love Dr. Nylander. We followed her from her previous practice because quite frankly after experiencing a multitude of pediatricians, we realized it’s worth it to follow someone when they are good to you. She takes the time to listen to all concerns, remembers our kids, actually cares, and never rushes you. It’s rare. Trust me. She’s amazing.
