Heidi Cipollone Herrera, M.D., FAAP, is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics specializing in infant and childhood preventative care. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish Literature. Dr. Herrera received her medical degree from Georgetown Medical School, completing her residency at Georgetown University Hospital, and a Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. Before returning to Southern California, Dr. Herrera practiced pediatric medicine in Florida.
Her areas of expertise include newborn and infant care, pediatric development, and preventative care. She’s a native Spanish speaker, interested in medical outreach, and has provided care to underserved clinics in Argentina and relief efforts in Haiti. Dr. Herrera is a strong believer in a holistic approach to prevention, treatment, and recovery. She is passionate about understanding and addressing the “body, mind, and spirit” of her patients, while using evidence based medicine, in order to provide compassionate care.
When she’s not working, Dr. Herrera volunteers her time at local Community centers, enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her son and her active duty Marine spouse.
