Wesley Kim, M.D., F.A.A.P, is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kim was born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Orange County. He attended college at the University of California, Irvine where he graduated cum laude, with a B.S. in Biologic Science. He spent a year in France in the University of California Education Abroad Program. He then went to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco where he received his M.D. degree. He did his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Kim went into private practice in south Orange County in 1979. Dr. Kim is very active in the local medical community with many years of service on the Executive Committees of CHOC Children’s Hospital at Mission and at Mission Hospital. He has served as Chief of Staff at CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital and Chief of Pediatrics at Mission Hospital. He has also been recognized as one of America’s top pediatricians. He is fluent in French.
Dr. Kim takes pride in being as thorough and complete as possible. He likes to answer questions and explain things fully to parents. It has been a joy for Dr. Kim to watch some of his patients grow up from birth to adulthood and see them bring their own children in to the practice.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and is involved with many of his children’s activities. He loves singing in the Saddleback College Community Chorale. He is an avid reader and also enjoys traveling and skiing.
