Kristina Nylander, M.D., FAAP, is a Board certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Nylander grew up locally in Laguna Hills and has been in private pediatric practice in South Orange County since 2004. She graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After moving to Portland Oregon and working in medical research, she attended Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine. Dr. Nylander then returned to Southern California for her residency in pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where upon completion, she was the recipient of the Pediatric Primary Care Award and the Golden Apple Teaching Award. In addition, she is a UCLA Certified Lactation Educator.
Special interests of Dr. Nylander’s include early child development and breastfeeding support. As a pediatrician, Dr. Nylander most enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. Nylander lives with her husband and two daughters in Laguna Niguel, and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.
